“The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you”

The day after exams is a threshold filled with potential and opportunities. The ‘Open Learning Day’ for Goenkans of class V was held on December 20, 2024. It was designed to harness the energy and transform it into something remarkable. The day became a vibrant celebration of creativity, exploration, and meaningful connections. Students were invited to step into a world where learning took many forms and joy and growth coexisted.

The day began with visits to three different banks: ICICI, AXIS, and SBI, where students engaged in practical learning. They delved into the real-world applications of financial concepts, banking operations, and customer service. The students gained valuable insights through a presentation on their bank visit, followed by completing a worksheet. This immersive experience significantly enriched their financial literacy.

A workshop was also conducted by the Hindustan Times, led by Ms. Preeti Joshi, on the topic of 'Health is Wealth.' The session covered key aspects such as good and bad bacteria, healthy and unhealthy food choices, gut health, and the probiotic drink 'Yakult’, samples of the same were distributed to the children for tasting. The day also included an informative movie session on health. To further enhance their experience, they made their healthy fruit platters and relished them with their friends. To conclude the power-packed day, students participated in a ‘Dance to Health’ session, where they tapped their feet together in an energizing manner.

The day showcased endless possibilities for both personal and collective development. It served as a reminder that the pursuit of knowledge and self-expression extends far beyond exams and that every moment holds the potential for discovery and growth.
