NEW TEACHERS ORIENTATION AND INDUCTION CEREMONY

(MARCH 28, 2025)

Vision alignment amongst the staff and integrated collaborative working between the existing teachers and new joinees are some of the unique strengths of GDGPS sec-48. In order to welcome the new teachers as well as acquaint them with the school’s unique culture and ethos of love, commitment and innovation, the school designed an extensive “Orientation and Induction Ceremony” for its new staff on 28th March, 2025.

The day began with a formal tilak ceremony. After that was “getting to know each other” session through a small introduction by each member, followed by school show round where they were then taken around the sprawling school campus in order to get familiar with all the blocks, class rooms and activity studios. After a little refreshment break, there were sessions by the Admin Team that included a session by the Front Office on “School Systems and Procedures” giving the teachers a peep into the functioning of the school, various documents, formats, and records maintained by them, and a session by the Staff Development Executive on the Code of Conduct to be followed by each staff member.

The school principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa then extended a cordial welcome to the newly inducted teachers and looked forward to their becoming a vital part of the ever expanding Goenkan family. During her interactions with the new teachers, Ms. Handa spoke about the legacy, motto and foundation of GDGPS. She also spoke about the role of a responsible teacher, the safety of the students, and shared a lot of positive experiences to motivate the new staff. The fresh entrants thanked the principal for making them a part of this beautiful Goenkan family.

All the sessions were aligned with the school’s mission and goal. Just as the ripples of a pebble radiate throughout its eco-system, so will this enriching experience help the teachers evolve as better equipped teachers.
