FAMILIARIZATION DAY

Education is the passport to the fire, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.

Familiarization Day at G D Goenka Public School Sector 48 Gurgaon, for the new admissions of the Academic Year 2024-25, was organized by the school in its premises on 1st April, 2024. This programme was organized to familiarize the new admission students with facilities in the school, resources and the plan for the year ahead.

The session began with a traditional welcome for the students with a ‘Tilak Ceremony’. The Head Mistress, Ms Shalini Tandon welcomed the new students into the Goenkan family. She briefed the students about the scholastic and co scholastic activities planned for children. The new students were addressed by the Principal, Ms Anuradha Handa. She took them through the vision of the school. She also reiterated that with the right balance of traditional values and modern facilities the students will enjoy the facilities of indoor & outdoor sports, co scholastic, scholastic activities. This was followed by taking the students for a campus tour.

The students were then introduced to the class teachers, who led them to the various activity studios and other areas of the school and introduced them to the class environment and classroom transactions. This was a time well spent in bonding between – the students and the mentors. The happy Goenkans then left the school. The aim of this exercise in instilling confidence in the new Goenkans was achieved and trepidation gave way to enthusiasm.
