DEVELOPING CRITICAL THINKING IN STUDENTS

A workshop on Developing Critical Thinking in Students for classes III to X was organized by the GD Goenka School, Vasant Kunj, on 8th October 2025. The session was conducted by Ms. Yasmin Khan.

Ms. Khan emphasized the importance of fostering inquiry, reasoning, and creativity among students. She discussed various strategies such as formative assessments, project-based and research assignments and the use of CBSE’s weekly Critical and Creative Thinking (CCT) questions available on the DIKSHA platform. Teachers were introduced to several critical thinking prompts and classroom techniques that encourage students to question, analyze and reflect deeply on different subjects. The workshop also highlighted the significance of learning outcomes-based assessment, focusing on skills rather than rote learning.

It was an engaging and insightful session that guided teachers toward creating more thoughtful and reflective learning environments.
