CBSE WORKSHOP ON TEACHER TRAINING

(JANUARY 24 & 25, 2025)

A two-day workshop was conducted in Hisar, Haryana, for the professional development and training of teachers under the aegis of CBSE from 24th January to 25th January, 2025. This workshop aimed at enhancing the teaching skills of educators by providing them with insights into modern pedagogical techniques, curriculum changes, and the latest teaching tools. This initiative was part of CBSE's ongoing efforts to upgrade teaching standards across schools affiliated with the board. The workshop commenced with an inaugural session on 24th January 2025, where educators from various schools in and around Hisar gathered to participate. Mr. Inderjeet Mittal,  the Chief Guest, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing upon the importance of continuous teacher development to meet the evolving educational needs. Resource persons Mr. Tarun Kumar, Ms. Sangeeta and Mr. Karamjeet highlighted the role of teachers as facilitators of learning, guiding students in becoming critical thinkers and problem solvers. Following the keynote, the participants were introduced to the objectives and structure of the workshop, and the sessions for the day were outlined.

This in-depth workshop covered several key areas on day one. The experts highlighted the need to understand the New CBSE Curriculum. The session covered the latest updates in the CBSE curriculum and how educators can align their teaching methods to these changes. Emphasis was placed on student-centric approaches, including project-based learning and experiential learning. A hands-on session on pedagogical strategies for effective teaching was conducted along with a discussion on the use of technology in teaching through e-learning platforms and interactive tools like smartboards, and apps that can aid in making lessons more engaging and accessible.

Day two of the workshop engaged the participants in more interactive and practical sessions, allowing them to apply the concepts discussed on the previous day. The sessions which were included were Classroom Management and Student Motivation, Assessment and Feedback Mechanisms and Workshops and Group Activities.

The workshop concluded with a short feedback session with the participants sharing their learnings from the two-day event. Mr. Inderjeet Mittal congratulated the participants on their active involvement and expressed hope that the insights gained would translate into enhanced teaching practices in their respective schools. Certificates of participation were distributed to all selected participants, marking the successful completion of the workshop. The event ended with a vote of thanks by the organizing team, expressing gratitude to the speakers, participants, and everyone involved in making the workshop a success.
