CBSE CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM ON LEARNING OUTCOMES AND PEDAGOGIES

(APRIL 10, 2025)

To empower educators with practical tools for effective teaching, G D Goenka Public School organized a CBSE Capacity Building Programme on 10th April 2025. The workshop was conducted on the topic 'Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies' under the guidance of CBSE resource persons, Dr Trilok Singh Bist and Ms Rashmi Srivastva. The workshop aimed to deepen the understanding of learning outcomes as defined by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and how they connect to effective classroom pedagogies.

Keeping pace with evolving educational needs, the recent CBSE CBP workshop shed light on how pedagogical strategies can be redesigned to achieve specific learning outcomes. The session focused on the importance of outcome-based learning, where the emphasis is not just on content delivery but on ensuring that students achieve specific knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values. Teachers were introduced to activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-driven pedagogies that make learning more student-centric and meaningful.

Various interactive sessions, group discussions and hands-on activities allowed teachers to reflect on their current teaching practices and explore strategies to align them with desired learning outcomes. Emphasis was placed on differentiated instruction, formative assessment techniques, and integrating real-life applications to enhance student engagement.

Overall, the workshop was a valuable opportunity for teachers to update their teaching approaches in alignment with 21st-century learning goals. It reinforced the need for continuous professional development to ensure quality education and better learning experiences for all students.
