GOENKANS EMBRACE EMPATH

G D Goenka Public School, Sector-48, Gurugram, hosted a special workshop titled ‘Compassionate Citizen’ on July 24, 2025, in collaboration with Go Sharpener and PETA – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The session aimed to instill empathy, kindness, and responsibility towards animals. A warm welcome was extended to Ms. Avantika from PETA, and as a token of appreciation, a planter was presented to her by Middle Wing Headmistress, Ms. Shalini Tandon, symbolizing growth and gratitude.

The workshop featured impactful videos and real-life stories that highlighted the emotional lives of animals and encouraged students to adopt compassionate choices, including opting for cruelty-free products marked with the PETA bunny symbol. The session concluded with students taking a heartfelt pledge to show empathy and kindness towards animals - reinforcing their commitment to becoming thoughtful and responsible citizens.
