WORKSHOP- CURRICULUM & PEDAGOGY FOR SCHOOL EDUCATION

G D Goenka Group of Schools organized a workshop on National Education Policy-2020; Curriculum & Pedagogy for School Education on November 26, 2021 through Zoom meeting. Around 400 teachers and Principals attended this workshop and participated in this course.
Ms. Neelima Sharma, Associate Vice President English Language, Asia Trinity College London was the resource person of the workshop. The NEP 2020 recommends reconfiguration of curricular and pedagogical structure of school education to make it responsive and relevant to the developmental needs and interests of learners at different stages of their development, corresponding to the age ranges of 3-8, 8-11, 11-14, and 14-18 years, respectively.
NEP 2020 strengthens our youth by amalgamating academic streams and directing students towards cumulative and composite knowledge. NEP 2021 aims at building a global best education system rooted in Indian ethos, thereby transforming India into a global knowledge superpower. According to NEP 2021, the 5 aspects of holistic health are physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and mental.
The major highlights of discussion during the worksop were the Four pillars of education, Need of 21st century skills, Competency based learning, The ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative of the central government, Skills to be focused upon and Bloom’s Taxonomy.
The Session was followed by a Q & A session. Overall, it was an enriching experience. it will surely help us to improvise our designing of multiple choice questions.
