WEBINAR – TECHNOLOGY FOR BLENDED LEARNING

The IT team of GDGPS, Sec 48, Gurgan attended the webinar on technology for blended learning organized by CBSE in collaboration with Google to understand the different models of technology integration in the field of education.

The participants understood educational pedagogies with respect to integrated technology by using ICT across the curriculum and invoking higher order thinking skills. The program was spread over 5 days, each session having a different topic. The resource person was Ms Deepti Sawhney, founder of Mahatatva, an organization involved in research and development of curriculum for skill-oriented education.

Ms Deepti shared a variety of online tools and techniques for virtual engagement of learners. She shared strategies for collaboration with learners along with different reflection activities that can be taken up in the classrooms. Planning the workflow in the virtual space was discussed in detail and an understanding of how to execute the lesson plans using the digital tools was further developed through the detailed presentation. The crux of the entire session was that a mental augmentation needs to happen between virtual and real world to continue teaching learning despite all odds.
