WEBINAR- SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING

The webinar on Social emotional learning was conducted on November 17, 2021 which was organized by G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj on zoom platform. Ms Sarita Sharma was the Resource person who is the Co-founder & Academic Lead -The TeacherApp .

In the webinar the main highlights were what is SEEL, what does it mean, why SEEL is important for the academic learning and what is the impact on young children with SEEL competencies and how do we incorporate SEEL at various levels in planning the curriculum.

SEEL is an education practice that integrates social emotional and ethical learning. If there is no SEEL, there is no holistic development. The five main components of social emotional learning are-

1. Self Awareness
2. Self Management
3. Social Awareness
4. Relationship Skills
5. Responsible Decision Making

It was indeed a good learning experience. The workshop was very informative.
