THE HEART OF HOLISTIC EDUCATION: COEP IN ACTION
(MAY 26 TO 30, 2025)
"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." – Aristotle
The Center of Excellence Programme (COEP) at GD Goenka Public School, Sector 48, is more than an annual calendar event—it is a purposeful journey into self-discovery, creativity, and future readiness. Seamlessly woven into the school’s vision of nurturing value-driven and holistic individuals, COEP serves as a cornerstone for developing emotional intelligence, social awareness, and 21st-century competencies in students across Grades IX to XII.
The 2025–26 edition of COEP spans five days, with 20 thoughtfully curated sessions that provide immersive, hands-on, and inquiry-based learning experiences. For Grades IX and X, modules like “Best out of Waste” and “Newspaper Wall Hanging” channel creative energies into sustainable thinking, while SEWA sessions allow students to connect meaningfully with the school community by leading digital literacy and recreational activities for support staff. These efforts build compassion, leadership, and a deep sense of social accountability.
In grades XI and XII, the programme evolves into career and personality-centric interventions. Students engage in workshops with reputed institutions like GD Goenka University and Bennett University, focusing on emotional wellness, personal branding, and strategic profile building. Sessions led by experts such as Jitin Chawla provide critical insights into higher education pathways and the tools needed to navigate them effectively. The Social Outreach initiative further nurtures civic consciousness and reflective citizenship.
By integrating creativity, empathy, and practical life skills, COEP affirms GDGPS’s commitment to holistic development. It empowers students not just to learn, but to lead—making excellence not an outcome, but a cultivated habit.
