STEM DAY EVENT FILLED WITH INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY

(May 20, 2026)

A high-energy STEM Day Event was organized at G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48 Gurugram in association with STEMplify (A Unit of Time of Sports Pvt. Ltd.) on 20th May 2026 for students of Classes V to VIII. The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of the school Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa, and the headmistress Mrs. Shalini Tandon. The event beautifully showcased the scientific temperament, creativity, and technical skills of the students.

Students of Grade V enthusiastically participated in STEM Racing India, where they designed miniature paper Formula 1 cars and raced them using an air-pressure system to understand the principles of aerodynamics. The teams displayed remarkable excitement and energy while preparing their paper cars and modifying the designs based on aerodynamic concepts to enhance performance and compete for victory.

Grade VI students explored the world of 3D Designing by constructing intricate 3D structures and models using ice cream sticks, paper, and cardboard. This activity enhanced their understanding of structural engineering and spatial awareness. The students also confidently presented their projects through PowerPoint presentations.

Grade VII students worked on the STEM Racing India project inspired by the globally acclaimed ‘F1 in Schools’ concept. They engineered innovative car designs using Autodesk Fusion and raced polyurethane miniature cars powered by CO canisters. Their technical understanding, teamwork, and creativity were truly commendable.

Grade VIII students showcased advanced Robotics projects demonstrating coding, automation, and mechanical skills through interactive models and presentations. Their projects reflected impressive innovation and problem-solving abilities.

Each team also created a creative Pit Display highlighting their learning journey and delivered formal presentations supported by PowerPoint slides. The event evaluation was led by the STEMplify team headed by Mr. Shubham Taneja. The racing tracks were judged by Mr. Sahil along with panel members Shruti, Zeel, and Rinki.

The students received invaluable mentorship throughout the project phase from STEMplify Trainer Mr. Sanjeev.

In a proud achievement for the school, one team from Grade V and one team from Grade VII officially qualified for the prestigious Regional Finals due to their outstanding performances.

Overall, the STEM Day Event was a resounding success that effectively bridged classroom learning with real-world engineering, creativity, innovation, and teamwork, leaving students inspired and motivated toward STEM education.
