SPORTS FIESTA 2022

In the words of Louis Zamperini “That’s one thing you learn in sports. You don’t give up, you fight to the finish.” After a hiatus of two years due to the lingering fear of the COVID-19 pandemic, G D Goenka Public School Sec-48 declared open one of its signature events, SPORTS FIESTA 2022. 

The school celebrated Sports Fiesta amidst great mirth and camaraderie. The air was filled with cheering and encouragement for the participating teams. Students competed in finals in myriad sports. It was the right mix of fun, competition, and intensity. The most anticipated event of the year saw 2000 students for the quarter-final, semi-final, and final matches in the group and individual games from over 49 schools across Delhi and NCR. The fields of the school campus reverberated with enthusiastic cheers and applause for the budding players.

The grand two-day-long sports event culminated with a closing ceremony. It was an ecstatic atmosphere, as the principal announced the winning teams, and the trophies were awarded ceremoniously. During her address, the Principal extended her greetings to the guests and congratulated the participants on their enthusiastic display of talent and spirit of sportsmanship. She appreciated the sense of competition instilled in the students and encouraged them to pursue their goals with similar diligence and perseverance. She urged them to “keep trying” and wished them luck in their future endeavors. Sports Fiesta 2022, a huge success showed high levels of proficiency and sportsmanship and would be etched in everyone’s memories forever.
