SPECIAL ASSEMBLY - REPUBLIC DAY

With this feeling, the students of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48 Gurugram celebrated the 73rd Republic Day. Learners of class II and IV presented a special assembly on ‘Republic Day’ with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. 

The assembly started with the flag hoisting ceremony by our honourable Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa. She addressed the assembly by mentioning about ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiated by the government to celebrate 73 years of progressive India and its glorious history and culture. One important element of the Mahotsav is to connect youth to its rich cultural background.

The Goenkans of Grade II took pride in their medley act through a mesmerizing dance which evoked the feeling of patriotism. Grade IV students presented the glimpse of different art forms related to Republic Day and also took pride in displaying our country's progression through a foot tapping dance performance and a melodious song. 

The school Headmistress Mrs Srishti Bajaj addressed the audience and urged the students to keep the flag of the nation flying high being the citizens of tomorrow. She also talked about Green Fest and Eco Club activity. The assembly instilled a feeling of love and respect for our country and infused the values and reverence for the gift of freedom.
