SPECIAL ASSEMBLY- DIWALI

The spirit of Diwali resonated through the corridors of G D Goenka Public School, Sector-48 Gurugram as students and teachers came together to celebrate the festival of lights in a spectacular Diwali assembly on 10th November, 2023 in the school auditorium. The school premises were adorned with vibrant decorations, diyas, and rangoli, creating a festive atmosphere that captured the essence of this joyous occasion.

The assembly began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the school headmistresses . This symbolic act marked the triumph of light over darkness and set the stage for an eventful celebration. The entire school was gathered in the assembly area, where the air was filled with anticipation and excitement. The cultural extravaganza commenced with a series of performances that showcased the diverse talents of the students. Colorful dances, Nukkad Natak, and musical performances brought to life the cultural significance of Diwali. The students' enthusiasm and energy were contagious, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere that left a lasting impression on the audience.

One of the highlights of the assembly was a play depicting the story of Diwali, narrating the victory of good over evil. The young actors delivered their lines with passion, and the audience was captivated by the compelling storytelling.

In addition to the cultural performances, the school also organized an Inter house Diwali decoration competition.  Classrooms were transformed into vibrant displays of creativity, with students showcasing their artistic skills through rangoli, lanterns, and other traditional decorations. The assembly concluded with a heartfelt message from Headmistresses Ms Shalini Tandon and Ms Shikha Sharma who emphasized the importance of unity, diversity, and spreading joy during the festive season. They also wished the students a very happy Children’s Day. The Students and staff exchanged warm wishes and fostering a sense of camaraderie and togetherness.

As the Diwali assembly came to an end, the school echoed with laughter, music, and the spirit of togetherness. The event not only celebrated the cultural richness of Diwali but also reinforced the sense of community within the school. It was a day filled with joy, light, and the warmth of shared festivities, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
