SESSION BY ALUMNI ON CAREER MIRROR

A session was conducted for Grade IX students as part of their IDM (I Discover Me) programme, wherein school alumni, Hriday Arora (Batch 2021), Senior Treasury Analyst at CDL Financial Services Pvt Ltd and Vani Grover (Batch 2021), completed Mass Com. from Symbiosis institute of media and communication were invited to interact with the students and share their journeys from school to higher education and their respective career paths. The objective of the session was to provide students with authentic, first-hand perspectives on how early interests, subject choices, and experiences during school years contribute to shaping future academic and professional directions.
During the session, the alumni spoke about their time in school, the decisions they made while choosing streams, and the factors that influenced their career paths. They also reflected on the challenges they encountered during transitions—from school to college and eventually into the professional world—and how they navigated these phases. Emphasis was laid on the importance of exploring one’s interests, developing essential skills, and being open to learning from both successes and setbacks.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in a question-and-answer segment. They sought clarity on stream selection, college life, career options, and the relevance of co-curricular involvement. The alumni’s relatable experiences and practical advice helped students gain a clearer understanding of the journey ahead. Overall, the session proved to be insightful and motivating, encouraging students to approach their future planning with greater awareness, confidence, and curiosity.
