PSYCHOLOGY FIELD VISIT TO PALLAVANJALI

(May 15, 2026)

The Psychology Field Visit to Pallavanjali Inclusive School was conducted on 15 May 2026 for Class XII Psychology students. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the application of psychological concepts within an inclusive educational setting. Pallavanjali is an Inclusive School, which caters to children with diverse learning and developmental needs. The visit offered students an opportunity to observe how inclusive practices create supportive, adaptive and emotionally secure learning environments.

During the visit, students observed the inclusive school set-up and gained hands-on exposure to psychological concepts such as individual differences, learning, motivation, and behaviour modification. They explored the occupational and speech therapy set-ups and learned about the functional group focused on life skills, and the educational group, focused on academic learning and skill development. The visit also highlighted the importance of special attention, practical skill teaching, and an inclusive environment where neurotypical and neurodivergent children learn together with acceptance and respect.

The field visit provided an enriching and insightful experience that provided students with a new perspective on life, inclusion and human understanding. It enabled them to witness how learning can become enjoyable and meaningful when children are taught with patience, empathy and care. Most importantly, the visit helped students understand the real-life application of psychology beyond textbooks and classrooms. The experience strengthened students’ observational and reflective skills while deepening their empathy, social awareness, and understanding of inclusive education and allied professional fields.

We are extremely grateful to Principal Ma’am, Ms. Anuradha Handa, and Senior Wing Headmistress, Ms. Shikha Sharma, for giving us this wonderful opportunity.
