ORIENTATION SESSION FOR TEACHERS – JUNIOR SKILLS CHAMPIONSHIP

NSDC and CBSE’s JuniorSkill 2021 is an incredible opportunity for CBSE school students from standard VI to XII to explore skills and technical and vocational education training (TVET). The championship will give them practical insight and experience in ten established and emergent skills – giving them a window into the professional world.

 

The orientation session began with the opening speech by Dr Biswajit Saha, Director CBSE, He shared that JuniorSkill 2021 is world over junior skill competition organised to promote skill development/ vocational training for the students of class VI to XII. Over 2 lakh students have been already registered for the event. CBSE targets for registration of 4 lac participants by June 30, 2021.


This was followed by introducing the audience to the basics of the JuniorSkill Championship 2021. To name a few, the skills for competition includes Fashion Technology, Digital Photography, Mobile Robotics, Painting and Decoration, Graphic Designing, Designing solar electric system, Mobile Apps and IT software solutions. After having introduced about the competition that includes the four stages as mentioned in the circular already shared with the schools by CBSE, audience was introduced to all the academic skill partners  for this competition.

 

This was followed by presentations by all the academic skill partners- Qrential, NDFC Cinemas of India, Pearl Academy, SIDBI, Holosuit and SCGJ. The presentations of these academic skill partners included the technical and non-technical pre requires of the competition like software requirements, coding language etc and the evaluation system & parameters of the competition.


The session ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Biswjit Saha. He congratulated to all the schools and participants to be a part of this championship and also motivated the teaching fraternity to encourage more and more students to participate in the championship.
