OPEN LEARNING DAY SEPTEMBER 2026

As part of its annual academic calendar, GD Goenka Public School, Sector 48 organised the Open Learning Day for the Middle Wing on 11 September 2026, following the completion of the Term I examinations. The initiative offered students a refreshing break from the examination routine through a thoughtfully curated programme of experiential, creative, skill-oriented and recreational activities, providing opportunities to learn, explore and engage in meaningful ways.
Classes III–V participated enthusiastically in Cine-Education and Action Song sessions, followed by meaningful interactions and worksheet-based reflection. Students of Classes III and IV visited a bank, gaining first-hand exposure to banking operations and an understanding of how financial institutions function in the real world. The Self-Defence Workshop equipped students with essential personal safety skills. JAM, Reading and Craft activities further nurtured creativity, communication, imagination and collaborative learning.
Classes VI–VIII engaged in a diverse range of stimulating and purposeful activities. As part of Kaushal Bodh, Go Sharpener activities focused on environmental awareness and sustainability, encouraging students to reflect on environmental concerns and explore responsible practices for a sustainable future. Students were also introduced to the BRICS Summit, held in Delhi, gaining an insight into the significance of the international forum. This was followed by an engaging quiz for Classes VII and VIII, while Class VI students participated in lively group games that fostered teamwork, coordination and sportsmanship. The Funathlon and the vibrant ‘Movement Meets Melody’ workshop further promoted physical vitality, creativity, rhythm and joyful self-expression.
The day concluded on a high note, with students returning with renewed enthusiasm, enriched perspectives and a repertoire of practical skills. The varied experiences encouraged them to collaborate, communicate, think creatively and connect classroom learning with the world around them, making the Open Learning Day a meaningful and memorable experience for the students.
