(JANUARY 05, 2022)

Considering the increase in Information and communication technology penetration as well as digital activity especially during the Covid Pandemic, awareness about the Cyber security is the need of the hour to prevent cyber frauds and crimes.

As part of the online fraud awareness campaign, an online module was conducted across India through CBSE’s Centers of Excellence and affiliated schools in collaboration with the HDFC Bank. The online awareness/interactive session included discussion, presentation, and interaction, during which new modes of operation and preventive measures were discussed by senior members of HDFC bank and CBSE. The session helped spread awareness about the digital transformation of financial systems, case studies and videos, and information on different types of cyber threats and practices. The participants learned about various financial frauds and security tips that will help them in protecting themselves from online frauds.

The virtual event is called, the “Mooh Band Rakho” campaign which was launched last year by Dr. K. Rajeswara Rao (IAS), Special Secretary, NITI Aayog.Through this initiative, the bank aims to increase awareness on all types of frauds and the importance of keeping your mouth shut to ensure their prevention. The bank has rolled out this campaign to commemorate International Fraud Awareness Week 2021, the global movement to minimise impact of digital frauds.
