JAL SHAKTI ABHIYAN JAL PAKHWADA 2026

The “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain” campaign, launched on 22nd March 2021, focuses on promoting rainwater harvesting and water conservation. The initiative emphasizes activities such as mapping and documenting water bodies, scientific planning, and setting up Jal Shakti Kendras, afforestation, and spreading awareness.

As a continuation of this nationwide effort, Jal Pakhwada is being observed from 16th to 30th April 2026 across all schools and educational institutions in the country. In alignment with this initiative, GD Goenka Public School, Sector 48,aGurugram organized a series of activities to sensitize students of Classes VI to VIII on 27th April 2026. These activities include poster making and slogan writing, encouraging students to understand the importance of conserving water and protecting natural resources.

These initiatives not only enhanced students’ creativity but also deepened their understanding of water conservation. They encouraged students to become responsible citizens and take small yet meaningful steps towards saving water in their daily lives, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future.
