INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

On the morning of 12th August, 2022, the corridors of GDGPS, Sector 48 echoed with ‘Azadi Ka Amrit mahotsav’ and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ slogans, sounds and splendour befitting the occasion. A special assembly was organized in the school auditorium in order to commemorate 75 years of independence of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. The day witnessed students beautifully dressed in tricolor and varied costumes. As the customary tri colour was unfurled by the school Principal Mrs Anuradha Handa and Headmistress Ms Srishti Bajaj, it filled everyone with elation and realization that today we have evolved into a multi-faceted nation whose character has different tones but the ultimate composition is forever one.

The programme started with the prayer songs followed by welcome speeches by the students. The patriotic dance by students flavoured the essence of the day. The audience witnessed character depictions and performances laced with emotions and pride for the motherland. The school Principal, in her address to the gathering, expressed pride in the rich cultural past of the country. She advised every student to work with honesty and dedication so that our nation soars to monumental heights. The programme ended with thank you note by the Headmistress followed by the National Anthem - the sense of love and determination to serve the nation in all possible ways.
