EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION

Shiv Nadar School in continuation to it's Decennial celebrations, organised an event “Excellence in Education" on Saturday, 30th July 2022 at Shiv Nadar School, Gurugram. The event started with the welcome address by the Director Principal - Ms. Monica Sagar followed by the Introductory address by Director of Education - Shiv Nadar School, Ms. Shashi Bannerjee.

The event marked the launch of a new EFL Program - ‘Educator for Life’  with an objective to  create educators that are responsive to their learner’s needs and appreciate individual expression, while fostering self-confidence in them. The proposed design of the EFL programme was shared. The program brings in comprehensive courses supplemented with personalized mentor support to assist educators on their journey towards delivering educational excellence.

This was followed by the Panel Discussion on the theme ‘ "Transforming Teacher Education - the way forward". Amongst the panelists were invited the eminent personalities  - Prof. Rohit Dhankar, Mr. E.K. Shaji, Ms. Suchismita Sreenivas, Mr. Shashank - Vira and Mr. Sameer Arora.

The panelists impressed upon the need for creating a professional community of educators who can ideate, innovate and provide meaningful learning experiences to students, can also empower them to be change-makers of tomorrow.

In addition to the Panel discussions, the highlight of the event was the felicitation Ceremony to recognize the educators who have contributed immensely in transforming their circle of influence in the education sector. Eight educators, each from diverse fields, chosen from different terrains of the country were identified, rewarded and recognised under this programme.

Our Mathematics Teacher - Ms. Sonal Sharma was also felicitated as a part of this programme.
