EFFECTIVE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND POSITIVE PARENT-TEACHER COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES

(JULY 20, 2024)

Ms. Srishti Bajaj conducted an insightful workshop for junior wing teachers on July 20, 2024. The workshop aimed to enhance classroom management techniques and improve communication with parents, focusing on several key strategies.

1.     Regular Maintenance of Anecdotal Registers: Ms. Bajaj emphasized the importance of maintaining anecdotal registers regularly. These records serve as valuable tools for tracking student progress, identifying areas of improvement, and documenting notable incidents. By diligently maintaining these registers, teachers can ensure comprehensive student assessment and informed decision-making.

2.     Effective Communication Channels: Teachers were encouraged to escalate significant concerns directly to the Headmistress. Clear communication channels ensure that critical issues are promptly addressed, fostering a supportive and efficient school environment.

3.     Integration of Energizers: The workshop highlighted the benefits of incorporating energizers into daily classroom routines. Energizers are brief songs and rhymes designed to re-energize students, enhance concentration, and promote active engagement. By integrating energizers, teachers can create dynamic learning environments that stimulate student participation and productivity.

4.     Optimizing Parental Interactions: Ms. Bajaj advised against unnecessary time expenditure during dispersal.

5.      Avoid Labeling Children: Teachers were reminded not to label children based on their behavior or performance. Every student is unique, and labeling can negatively impact their self-esteem and development. Instead, focus on understanding and addressing individual needs.

6.     Enhance Teaching and Learning Materials: The importance of continually updating and enhancing teaching and learning materials was stressed. Engaging and relevant materials can significantly improve the quality of education and keep students motivated and interested.

7.     Do Not Gossip About Children: Teachers were cautioned against gossiping about students to other teachers. Professionalism and respect for student privacy are paramount in building trust and a positive school culture

In conclusion, the workshop conducted by Ms. Srishti Bajaj provided valuable insights and practical strategies for junior wing teachers to enhance classroom management and improve parental communication. By implementing the discussed techniques, teachers can foster a supportive learning environment conducive to student growth and development.
