EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO JAIPUR AND SANGANER
(NOVEMBER 12 TO 13, 2022)
On November 12, 2022 an excited group of 153 students of class VI accompanied by 18 teachers left early in the morning for their educational trip to Jaipur, an extremely popular tourist destination, for two days and one night.
Jaipur is one of the most vibrant cities of India with its magnificent forts, palaces and lakes. After arriving at Jaipur, the group geared up for their first sightseeing stop- the City Palace. Its major part is now the Maharaja Sawai Mann Singh II Museum. The swords, weaponry and other belongings of the royal family were the major attractions here. Our tourist guide recreated that period of history through stories of their velour and conquest while our students heard in amazement. A part of the palace still serves as an imperial residence to the present maharaja. An enthralling puppet show was another feast that the group savored amusingly. After a hearty lunch in the Hotel Clarion Casa Bella, the students set off to visit the block printing factory at Sanganer. Hand block printing is one of the oldest textile printing art popular in Sanganer- a small town located around 15 km away from Jaipur. The children went around the factory learning about the techniques of woodblock printing and the usage of natural colour and vegetable dye. They also tried their hands on this art and designed their own cotton handkerchiefs. The students also explored the paper factory to see the beautiful handmade papers and know about the methods of traditional paper making. After a well spread dinner in the hotel the students were taken on a short night Safari to witness the iconic monuments and the spectacular view of the city after sunset. They visited all major attractions like Patrika Hall, Albert Hall, Birla Temple and finally Hawa Mahal.
On the second day, the students set out to explore the Amber Fort. While the buses were parked they took a jeep ride to reach the hill top. Within the powerful walls of Amber Fort one can find the magnificent palace adorned with intricate work and precious stones. The students had a wonderful time exploring the history, architecture and artistic styles of ancient India. The students hereafter enjoyed a lavish lunch at the Clarks.
Armed with a treasure trove of unforgettable memories, the students resumed their journey, had their evening snacks enroute and reached school by late evening.
