EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO EUROPE

(JUNE 04 TO 13, 2025)

 

An educational tour, offering a glimpse into the cultural gems and geographical beauty, a grand European odyssey was organized for the Goenkans of classes VIII -X and XII, for eight nights and nine days stretching from 4th June 2025 till 13th June 2025, covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France.

 

Embarking on the journey, with YoungEdsplorer as the organizing body, an enthusiastic group of twenty-nine students and four mentors, departed from the international airport to a smooth touch-down in the city of Munich, Germany. Post a comfortable check-in into the plush hotel, the next two days were spent in Augsburg and Munich, while exploring the architectural grandeur, soaking in the cultural vibes at the Marine Platz, a guided bike tour of the city, an educational visit to the BMW Museum, guided city tour and a gastronomic feast everyday.

 

The journey continued further towards Austria, a city nestled in the Alps. Reaching Innsbruck via a road trip, the group toured the dazzling Swarovski Museum, had lunch at a local restaurant followed by a guided tour of the city and then a transfer back to Augsburg for a comfortable night and a sumptuous dinner. The next day, enroute to Zurich, Switzerland via a scenic drive, the group visited the enchanting Lake Titisee, the Cuckoo Clock outlets and the picturesque and legendary landscapes of the Black Forest. Post lunch, the journey continued towards the mighty Rhine Falls in Zurich. An enjoyable boat ride provided an up close perspective of this natural grandeur.

 

Post a delectable dinner and a comfortable retirement, the next morning, the group proceeded towards Engelberg for an excursion to the famous Mount Titlis on a rotating Rotair cable car. Post soaking in the impressionable natural beauty at the Summit, the snow-clad Alps, the Glacier Cave, a thrilling Cliff Walk and an enthralling ride on the Ice Flyer, the group enjoyed a piping lunch to then proceed towards an orientation tour of the city of Lucerne. Offering a quintessential Swiss charm, the city of Lucerne offered scenic views as the group explored the famous Chapel Bridge and visited the Lion Monument. The next leg of the beautiful journey halted at the legendary Lindt Home Of Chocolate. While clicking photographs in front of the famous 9-metre chocolate fountain there, the group proceeded towards an interactive, museum-based orientation of the history behind the legendary home of Swiss chocolate. The highlight of this visit was the tasting and shopping of the famous Swiss chocolate.

 

Post a sweet taste in the mouth, the tour rolled further to visit the UN Headquarters in Geneva and had an opportunity to get clicked in front of the Broken Chair Sculpture,erected by the Handicap International in 1997, symbolizing the devastating effects of arms and landmines in wars. After a comfortable night and culinary delights, the group boarded the Euro Rail for a picturesque journey from Geneva to Paris, France, thus setting the stage for the final finale. Post a guided city tour of Paris, covering Champs-Élysées, the majestic Arc de Triomphe and the historical Place de la Concorde, the group proceeded towards the iconic Eiffel Tower and immersed into beholding the panoramic sight of the city that the second floor of the Eiffel Tower offered. A serene cruise on the Rhine river offered yet another perspective into the culture and vibrancy of the Parisians and the city.

 

The tour concluded with an unforgettable and much-awaited visit to Disneyland, Paris. The group had a whale of time living and reviving their childhood as the Disney Parade, meet-ups with the iconic Disney characters, the exhilarating rides and amazing food brimmed their hearts with joy. The educational trip concluded with a safe flight back to India, with hearts and bags full of happy and unforgettable memories of the trip for life.
