EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO ASTROPORT AT SARISKA 2026

GD Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram, organized an enriching educational trip to Astroport, Sariska for the students of Grade V from March 17 to 19, 2026. The trip aimed to promote experiential learning beyond the classroom while nurturing curiosity, independence, teamwork, and environmental awareness among students.
The journey commenced with great enthusiasm, and upon arrival at Astroport near Sariska National Park, students were comfortably accommodated. The itinerary offered a well-balanced blend of educational, adventurous, and cultural experiences. A key highlight of the trip was the jungle safari, where students observed wildlife in their natural habitat and developed a deeper understanding of biodiversity and conservation.
Students actively participated in hands-on learning sessions involving scientific tools and models, enhancing their practical knowledge. Exposure to sustainable practices was provided through activities such as vermicomposting and a visit to solar panel installations, fostering awareness about environmental responsibility. The much-enjoyed rocket launch activity further ignited scientific curiosity and excitement among the students.
A special stargazing session, conducted by the Astroport team, provided students with the opportunity to observe the night sky through professional telescopes, deepening their interest in astronomy. This was followed by a vibrant Rajasthani folk music evening along with recreational activities, which strengthened camaraderie and created lasting memories.
Throughout the trip, students displayed exemplary discipline, enthusiasm, and participation. The excursion concluded with students returning to school enriched with valuable learning experiences, cherished memories, and a greater appreciation for nature, science, and sustainability.
Overall, the visit to Astroport, Sariska proved to be a very exciting and memorable educational experience for all participants.
