EDUCATION TRIP MUMBAI FOR CLASSES IX TO XI

(September 14, 2026)

Inspired by the essence of the Goenkan student-led clubs, students of classes IX to XI of GDGPS Sector 48, Gurugram, were flown forth on an enriching educational journey of experiential learning to the ‘City of Dreams’ Mumbai from 12th September till 14th September 2026. Commencing from an early departure from the school till the conclusion of the trip, the students not only benefitted from exploring their interest based on their Club, broadened their perspective and learnt to apply their knowledge to the real-life context, but also learnt the necessary skills of teamwork, independent learning and collaboration. The sterling highlight to capture the memories of the trip was a finely designed Club Booklet, wherein the students diligently recorded their day-to-day experiences and take-aways.

Apart from enjoying their stay at the selected destination, the first day in Mumbai saw students heading to the illustrious Jehangir Art Gallery, on a guided tour, to appreciate the works of contemporary Indian art, as they travelled down the Marine Drive and to the scenic views of the ocean. This was followed by a much awaited visit to the iconic Film City, in the evening, where they immersed themselves into the nuances of film making, the magic behind the camera and were enthralled by a live show. The second day was designed for the students to visit the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO-listed heritage and archaeological site, via a ferry ride, post a visit to the Gateway of India and a peripheral round of the Bombay Stock Exchange. Post this, the students headed to the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Central, a multi-disciplinary cultural space located inside the Jio World Centre, wherein the students, prior to a sumptuous dinner, were given a guided exposure to the engineering to preserve and promote Indian arts, performing culture, and craft heritage. The third day in Mumbai was a specially crafted one with an emphasis on the exploration of Club-based interest. The students were divided into various club-based groups and were encouraged to delve deeper into their interests. Interactive and hands-on sessions such as Barry John’s Acting Workshops, Financial Literacy sessions, and a live session with a chef at a hotel were few of the many curated for the students.

Post these highly octave sessions, the students headed towards the Colaba market for a shopping experience and to explore the local vibes, before heading back to Delhi. The trip was a huge success with the students.
