CONFLUENCE 2021

G D Goenka Group organized ‘Confluence 2021 – School Education in the 21st Century’ for the leaders of all the G D Goenka schools on a virtual platform in four sessions held on June 18, 19, 25 & 26, 2021.G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurgaon team was represented by the School Principal Ms Anuradha Handa, Headmistresses Ms Srishti Bajaj and Ms Shalini Tandon, and a few academic teachers. They attended all the sessions and participated actively in all the discussions during the four-day event.
The G D Goenka Confluence is the brainchild of Mr. Anjani Kumar Goenka, the Group Chairman to bring together the best of brains and renowned erudite educationists for a discussion on the direction and a further new direction to Education in our elite Goenkan Schools in the future. Ms Bharati Sharma, Senior Director, Academics, G D Goenka Group of Schools, welcomed all the delegates and personally supervised all the arrangements. This was followed by message from Mr Nipun Goenka, MD, G D Goenka Group and Ms Nupur Goenka, Director, G D Goenka Group who extended a very warm and hearty welcome to all the Heads of Schools and other leaders present.
The four-day confluence involved renowned National as well as International guest speakers that included Mr. Joseph Emmaneul, Director (Academics) CBSE, Debasish Chatterjee, Director IIM, Mr. Rajiv Chandran, Office Incharge UN, Dr. Richard Smith, University of Warwick, Uk and Ms. Jemima Hughes, Education Specialist, Dakar, Senegal, to name a few. All the speakers have the same vision of discussing the school education in the 21st century thereby making the students future ready and acquire the skills to use the resources in the best possible way. Interactions during the four-day confluence also helped educators clarify their doubts regarding the CBSE reforms and vision.
It was truly a memorable and enriching experience for every educator present at Confluence 2021.
