CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

“Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness that we get from seeing joy in people. It is the tenderness of the past, the courage for the present and hope for the future.”

The boundless joy of celebrating this festival was quite evident on the faces of each child. Goenkans had great fun celebrating the festival in their respective classes. They decorated the Christmas tree with bells, streamers, stockings, stars and shining lights. The students tapped their feet and danced gracefully on the beat of Christmas songs. It was a great way to bring joy and happiness. They enjoyed and relished the sumptuous food from the school cafeteria.

There was a special assembly organised in the school auditorium. The program started with the prayers to the Almighty. The school auditorium echoed with Christmas carols sung melodiously by the school choir ushering in the festive season. The dance performances by the students of junior wing were enjoyed by the students. The School Principal Ms. Anuradha Handa congratulated the Goenkans and appreciated the efforts of students and encouraged them to experience the power of sharing and helping others. She even felicitated the winners of Inter school carol competition and sport competitions.

The essence of Christmas came alive when students dressed as Santa Clause went into the classes and distributed candies and chocolates. The delightful celebration included children dancing and sharing the merriment together.
