CBSE WEBINAR – PEER RELATIONS

An online session on “Peer Relations”  was organised by the COE Delhi (East) on January 19, 2021 through Google Meet. The resource person was Ms Anuradha Handa, Principal of  G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurgaon. The session was attended by educators and teachers from across all schools of Delhi and NCR. 

Ms. Handa started the session with brainstorming, discussing and reflecting on different  ways of fostering healthy peer relations among children. She spoke eloquently about peer relations because the influence of peer has a great impact on child’s life. She elucidates its origination, importance, and the areas to be taken care of so that peer relationships develop in a healthy manner which will help children in strengthening their personality.

Ms. Handa explicated that Peer Relations germinate when children start their school life. She shared certain ideas/ areas with the educators which educators can provide or facilitate the children so that peer relationships develop in a healthy manner which would help children in growing as better citizens. She emphasized that having strong peer connections assist a person to manage anger or conflicts in a better way and lead to strong positive relationships with peers further helping to regulate negative emotions. Sharing and caring attitude helps in building human connects.

The session was informative and interactive with lively interactions between the resource person and the attendees.
