CBSE HERITAGE INDIA QUIZ 2024 REGIONAL LEVEL

The CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2024 was hosted by G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram, on Saturday, November 30, with great enthusiasm and reverence for India’s rich cultural legacy. This event brought together 30 exceptional teams from across the region, celebrating the theme “Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage”. Organized after an online preliminary round open to CBSE schools across India, this regional-level event brought together the winners of the online phase to compete in person, representing regions such as Shimla, Palwal, Faridabad, Gurugram,  and more.

 

The program commenced with a preliminary round conducted by the dynamic Quizmaster, Mr. Kunal Mandal, known for his engaging and interactive approach. Following the evaluation of answer sheets, the formal ceremony began with a warm welcome, the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and an inspiring address by the Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa. The event was further enriched by soulful cultural performances, including a Kabir-inspired qawwali and a vibrant dance, showcasing India’s artistic heritage.

 

The Guest of Honour, Dr. Neelima Vardhan Kamrah, Principal of KIIT World School, delivered a motivational address, emphasizing the importance of preserving India's cultural treasures. Post her address, the results of the preliminary round were announced, and the top six teams advanced to the thrilling final round.

 

Guided by Mr. Mandal, the final round was a display of intellect, strategy, and quick thinking. After an intense competition, the winners were crowned, and awards were presented by the dignitaries. The event concluded with a group photograph featuring the winning teams, school dignitaries, and representatives from CBSE and the event sponsors.

 

The Heritage India Quiz 2024 was not just a competition but a celebration of learning, collaboration, and cultural pride, leaving participants and audience members alike inspired to delve deeper into the preservation of India’s rich legacy.
