CARING FOR NATURE AND OUR PLANET
(July 14, 2026)
The students of Class III-B presented an insightful assembly at the MP Hall of GD Goenka Public School on 14th July, 2026. Centred on the theme, "Caring for Nature – Our Planet, Our Responsibility," the event served as a powerful call to environmental stewardship.
The assembly commenced with a serene morning prayer, followed by the "Goenkan Newsroom," where student reporters provided updates on national, international, sports, and campus affairs. The highlight of the morning was a poignant Nukkad Natak, which vividly depicted the challenges facing our planet—from deforestation to plastic pollution. Through creative character portrayals, the students urged their peers to adopt sustainable habits like tree planting and waste reduction.
Engagement remained high during the interactive "Oops! Nature Says NO! vs. Yes! Nature Says GO!" segment, where students actively identified eco-friendly practices. A vibrant dance performance added a spirited energy to the message of conservation. The assembly concluded with inspiring words from Headmistress Ms Shalini and the collective singing of the School Anthem.
The event left everyone with a powerful reminder: "Nature doesn't need us; we need nature." It was a successful effort, emphasising that small, consistent actions are essential for a cleaner, greener future.
