BAISAKHI CELEBRATION 2026

(April 13, 2026)

Baisakhi was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm among the learners of the Foundational Years, giving them an opportunity to understand the cultural and agricultural significance of the festival. The celebration was designed to help young learners connect with the harvest season and develop a sense of gratitude towards nature.

A variety of engaging activities were organized to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. An activity on the journey of wheat to roti helped learners understand how food reaches their plates. Students enjoyed a lively Bhangra performance, participated in songs and engaged in storytelling sessions and a puppet show, which explained the importance of Baisakhi in an interesting and age-appropriate manner. Learners were also introduced to different traditional foods and delicacies, enriching their cultural understanding.

The school Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa, encouraged the learners and made them aware of the importance and learning of the festival. She highlighted values such as gratitude, hard work and togetherness.

The celebration created a joyful and vibrant atmosphere, making learning experiential and memorable for all learners.
