AUDIT REVIEW MEETING FOR SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES IN SCHOOLS

(November 28, 2025)

(NOVEMBER 28, 2025)

Aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), GD Goenka Public School, Sector 48 hosted an insightful and impactful session led by Ms Bharti Sharma and Mr Ankit on sustainable practices in schools. One of the key highlights of the session was Go Sharpener, a youth-focused EdTech platform and global network that empowers students to take meaningful action for a greener and more sustainable future by tracking and promoting eco-friendly activities.

The session witnessed the gracious presence of Ms Anuradha Handa (Principal), Ms Shalini Tandon (Headmistress – Middle Wing), Ms Shikha Sharma (Headmistress – Senior Wing), along with leaders from various schools. The interactive discussion inspired educators to integrate sustainability-driven initiatives into everyday school practices, reinforcing the role of young changemakers in building a sustainable world.

The school continues to actively participate in the Go Sharpener initiative, of which we are already proud members and consistent practitioners. Through this programme, our school has been running structured activities that promote mindful habits, environmental awareness, and responsible decision-making among students and staff. The initiative reinforces the belief that small, consistent actions can collectively lead to meaningful change.

As a part of the Goenka Group of Schools, sustainability and conscious efforts towards saving Planet Earth are not treated as occasional campaigns but are being integrated into our everyday school system. Environmental responsibility is woven into classroom discussions, school practices, and student-led initiatives. It is strongly believed that every Goenkan should grow up imbibing these values with discipline, empathy, and a deep sense of responsibility towards nature and society.

Following this, the floor was opened for sharing good practices adopted by different Goenka schools. Educators exchanged ideas, successful strategies, and innovative approaches that have helped embed sustainability into school culture. This collaborative sharing not only highlighted the impactful work being done across campuses but also strengthened the collective commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious, responsible future citizens.
