ASSEMBLY-CULTIVATING A GROWTH MINDSET

‘The journey of growth begins with believing that you can, and continues with the courage to try, fail, learn and try again.’

The students of class VI B of GD Goenka Public School Sector 48, Gurugram presented an enriching assembly centered around the theme- ‘Cultivating a Growth Mindset’ on August 05, 2025. The young Goenkans highlighted the need to embrace challenges as learning opportunities, view failures as stepping stones, focus on effort and progress.

With enthusiasm in the air, the assembly began by expressing gratitude towards God and seeking from him the power of his blessings. Students shared the positive affirmations in English, Hindi, Sanskrit and French to instill the importance of a growth mindset. Thereafter, the creative Goenkan reporters presented the news in a unique way, creating a News Studio and updated everyone about the latest happenings in and around the world.

The students represented the theme of the assembly through an enactment depicting the power of a growth mindset. The skit portrayed the story of Eklavya narrated by the teacher to encourage a student to play the guitar and not give up. Quiz was the part of the assembly where students had to guess the personalities who became successful by cultivating a growth mindset.

The true path to growth lies in embracing challenges, learning from them, and rising above them with faith in oneself. To further enlighten the students, Head mistress, Ms Shalini Tandon addressed them, emphasising on the need to cultivate a growth mindset and never give up, by sharing the life stories of great personalities. The assembly concluded on a positive note, leaving students inspired and ready to embrace the day’s learning with enthusiasm and responsibility.
