AN EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO BIODIVERSITY PARK

An educational trip to Tau Devi Lal Bio Diversity Park, Gurgaon was organised for the students of Class VI on 31st October.  The objectives of the trip were to create awareness about the different facets of biodiversity, to develop a positive attitude towards the environment and to learn and experience the green environment and think about ways to preserve it.

The students were initially briefed about the Tau Devi Biodiversity Park and the objectives of the educational trip. The students accompanied by their teachers took a round of the park and experienced the peaceful harmony and tranquility of the place. The park is divided into  23 sections- medicinal plants, bamboo section, endangered plant section, palm section, rosery section to name a few. The students identified the different species of trees and enjoyed spotting insects and understanding how they play a crucial role in pollination. The trip not only connected the students to nature but it was also a wonderful learning opportunity for them.

In a nutshell, the trip was an exemplary experience that the students will savor for a long time.
