AGRA TRIP, CLASS III

The school organized a two days educational trip to the city of ‘Taj’ from 7th November - 8th November 2022. The trip aimed at unfolding the pages from the past to churn the charm out of its mystique and enrich the imagination of inquisitive Goenkans about this marvel of an epic in stone. The thrilled group of fifty-one students with six teachers departed for Agra through the newly constructed Palwal expressway at 6:00 am and enroute halted at Food court for their breakfast.

The group, then reached ‘Sikandra Fort’ in Agra and was mesmerized to see the beautifully engraved Tomb with intricate detailing, specially the red-coloured sand stone, which imparted a rich look to it. Later, the children reached and checked into the hotel ‘Clarks Shiraz’ and visited ‘Taj Mahal’ post lunch. Walking along the pathway beside the reflecting pool with fountains up to the mausoleum crafted in soft and pure marble, the students took a dip into the saga of ‘Taj Mahal’. In the evening, the students enjoyed a cultural evening bursting at the seams with music and dance followed by dinner.

Day two served as an idyllic entertainment parcel for the students as they visited ‘Agra Fort’ after having the breakfast at the hotel. Followed by a detailed tour of the fort and learning various facts about its architectural carvings and infrastructural minutiae, the students returned to the hotel and had their lunch. Attaining experiential learning that supremely nourished their curiosity about one of the greatest wonders of the world, the students resumed their journey, had their evening snacks en-route and reached the school by 8:00 pm.
