WORKSHOP FOR SCIENCE TEACHER BY OPEN DOOR

Open Door organized an enlightening online Science workshop, highlighting the indispensable role of the Thinking Classroom Book. The resource person, Mr Kamal from Open Door Education highlighted the manifold benefits of utilizing the Thinking Classroom Book to amplify understanding, application, retention, and appreciation of known concepts. A key focus was on equipping teachers with tools to foster critical thinking among students.

The resource person thoroughly explained the different types of questions the Thinking Classroom book contains. The manner in which the questions should be introduced and discussed with the children, was emphasized. Two distinct models were presented to achieve optimal outcomes: Model-1, which commences with an activity to introduce the lesson, and Model-2, to be employed after explaining the textbook and the topic.

The open door training is definitely going to be handy for grade 6-8 science teachers in implementing and imparting the scientific concepts in the most interesting and effective way. The session culminated with Thanksgiving by Ms. Rajni Jauhari from GDG team.
