MATHEMATICS MINDSET

G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, successfully organized a virtual workshop - “Mathematics Mindset” on September 27, 2024. The workshop was specifically designed for teachers of Grades 9-12, with the objective of enhancing their pedagogical skills and equipping them with innovative strategies for teaching Mathematics in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. The session was led by expert resource persons, Mr. Jaskaran Singh and Ms. Kuljeet Kaur, who provided valuable insights into the intricacies of the subject and the latest exam patterns, including the CUET Math Exam for Class 12.
The workshop covered several key aspects of the CBSE Mathematics curriculum, offering teachers a detailed analysis of internal assessments and highlighting common mistakes done by students during examinations. A significant portion of the session focused on promoting critical thinking and fostering engaging classroom experiences. Teachers were introduced to a variety of innovative methodologies, such as Math Lab activities, assertion-reasoning questions, and case studies. The inclusion of art-integrated learning and group discussions also aimed to make the learning experience more interactive and engaging for students.
In addition to teaching strategies, the workshop emphasized the importance of technology integration in education, guiding teachers on the effective use of digital tools and resources in the classroom. Differentiated instruction and assessment techniques were discussed to ensure inclusivity, particularly in supporting students with special needs (CWSN).
