TRAINING IN THINKING CLASSROOM- SCIENCE TEACHERS

The workshop conducted by Open Doors on July 05, 2024, aimed to enhance science teaching strategies through comprehensive training in question types, discussion facilitation, and hands-on activity planning. Participants, comprising science teachers, were equipped with diverse question types like open-ended and probing questions to stimulate critical thinking. They also learned effective discussion strategies such as Socratic questioning and structured debates to foster active student participation.
Hands-on activities enabled teachers to develop interactive lesson plans integrating practical experiments and simulations to reinforce theoretical concepts. This initiative significantly boosted teachers’ confidence in engaging students and promoting collaborative learning environments.
Overall, the workshop successfully enhanced pedagogical skills, ensuring a more engaging and effective approach to science education in schools.
