SESSION BY PEEDU’S PEOPLE
(APRIL 24, 2024)
G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram, hosted a session for young Goenkans of Grade 3 to 5 in collaboration with the ‘Go Sharpener’ team. The event, facilitated by Mr. Inder Sandhu, was a transformative fun filled experience for the enthusiastic students of grade 3 to 5 focusing on animal protection and understanding their rights. Mr. Sandhu, is the founder of Peedu's People – an organisation for the reduction of human-animal conflict and compassion for all species with a belief in creating awareness via protecting animals in need, humane education, environment care, rabies awareness, and spreading compassion towards all species.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about wildlife rights and duties, laws for wildlife protection, language of dogs, and the proper treatment of animals. Mr. Sandhu's engaging demonstrations were accompanied by essential lessons on empathy and care for animals. The highlight was a heartwarming surprise as children met and interacted with a friendly pet dog named ‘Rocky Singh.’ The event left a lasting impression, inspiring young minds to be compassionate and responsible members of the society.
This event was initiated by Ms. Saaya, Director Customer Success at Go Sharpener, who also reinforced the benefits of the amazing Go Sharpener platform for the student community. She encouraged students to post their physical activities, sports activities, ways to curb pollution, initiatives taken towards achieving SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals) and more. She also emphasized upon the alternatives which can be taken up by the students for a better and transformed planet.
