PEC ESSENTIALS - A SESSION ON PHYSICAL EDUCATION CARDS

PEC – Physical Education in Curriculum, a collaborative venture of CBSE and British Council has resulted in transforming students to higher efficacy levels of creative, competent and confident generation across the country. On October 07, 2024, a workshop was conducted by Ms. Neha Sharma, the Principal of G D Goenka Public School, Ghaziabad, for physical education (PE) teachers. The workshop focused on the innovative concept of integrating PE with academic subjects to enhance holistic learning for students.
Ms. Sharma emphasized the use of PEC (Physical Education Cards) as a valuable resource for incorporating physical activities into classroom learning. She highlighted how Class Teachers can collaborate with PE teachers to blend academic concepts with physical activities, making learning more engaging and effective.
The participants were also apprised about specifically designed set of kit comprising 100 PE cards (for classes I – V) and Teachers’ Manual that has age appropriate equipment and illustrative information to reinforce the transaction process and strengthen the delivery infrastructure. The training program was certainly a milestone to ascertain that PE cards gets implemented in all schools and act as a vital step to equip students evolve as responsible learners with life skills
In conclusion, the workshop empowered PE teachers with practical strategies to collaborate with classroom teachers, ensuring that physical education is not just about fitness but also a tool for enhancing academic performance and overall student well-being.
