ORIENTATION SESSION; CLASS 9
(APRIL 06, 2024)
“If you are walking down the right path and you are willing to keep walking, eventually you will make progress.” - Barack Obama
Aligned to handhold the parents and the Goenkans of class IX into the transformative journey of graduating from the middle wing into the senior wing, an Orientation Session and Workshop was hosted by the school on 6th April 2024. This event gave an opportunity to the stakeholders to have an overview of the secondary years and expand their cognitive capacity, so that they are well prepared for Education 4.0. Addressed by the Principal, the audience was given a clarity of the academic milestones to be covered and were aligned with the vision of NEP 2020 and CBSE. The parents and the students were taken through the various experiential programs designed by the school which not only aid Portfolio Building but also prepare the students holistically. Parents were guided by the Principal on the importance of arriving at a decision rather than making it and giving ample thought to the career choices being made by their wards, based on aptitude. The importance of skill-based knowledge and expertise was given emphasis for the growth of the students beyond the classroom and the school.
Success stories of the ex-Goenkans were shared with all present. The Headmistress of the senior wing took the audience through a detailed presentation based on the academic parameters and expectations in the secondary years. The parents and students were then escorted towards interactive induction workshops in the activity studios, wherein they were engaged in activities underlining the various skills the students learn in the school and the Goenkan programs which nurture them. This endeavour was well received by the parents and students alike and set the tone for the academic session.
