ONLINE WORKSHOP FOR ACCOUNTANCY

An online workshop related to Accountancy for class XII was held on 22nd November 2024 by G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj. The resource persons, Ms.Shalu and Ms.Shalendra, provided valuable knowledge related to the common challenges faced by students in Accountancy and discussed the effective strategies to tackle them. The key highlights of this subject-specific workshop were numerous, covering firstly the common difficulties faced by students in Accountancy. The experts highlighted the topics where students often struggle, and shared effective methods to overcome these challenges.
The second highlight was the discussion based on the strategic approach to syllabus division. A significant portion of the session was dedicated to recommendations of splitting the syllabus into three main groups to ensure a more manageable study plan. The experts emphasized on the importance of regular testing and revision to help reinforce concepts.
Thirdly, the workshop lay emphasis on providing support to the weak students. Customized support strategies, including peer tutoring and additional practice tests, to help these students improve their understanding were brainstormed over. Discussion on projects and sample question paper was also discussed. The workshop included a review of the Class XI and XII projects, focusing on how these can be used to enhance student learning and assessment.
The resource persons also shed light on the changes in the question paper pattern, providing insights into how teachers can better prepare students for upcoming exams. A detailed analysis of the sample question paper was shared, highlighting key areas of focus and potential changes in the exam pattern. The workshop culminated with a doubt-clearing session, wherein the resource persons addressed specific queries raised by the participants, ensuring that teachers left the session with clear insights and practical approaches to apply in their classrooms. This workshop proved to be highly informative and beneficial for the teachers teaching Accountancy.
