FRENCH WEEK

(JULY 08 TO 12, 2024)

G D Goenka Public School, Sector – 48 Gurugram was abuzz with the vibrant celebrations of French Week from July 08 to July 12, 2024. It was a cultural extravaganza designed to immerse students in the essence of French language, art, and tradition.

Students of class V, embraced the spirit of French culture by dressing up as iconic French characters. The creativity of class VI students shone brightly as they enthusiastically crafted an array of beautiful head gears inspired by French culture. Students of class VII provided a delectable journey into the heart of France’s culinary heritage. They savoured a variety of dishes and flavours that define French gastronomy. Guided by themes inspired by French art, students of class VIII enthusiastically designed and painted their own T-shirts. Children of class IX and X delved into the world of journalism by creating their own newspapers in French.

The Multipurpose Hall of the school was transformed into a miniature France offering a vibrant and immersive experience into French culture. Students took centre stage sharing their knowledge and passion for France through various presentations. The Headmistress of middle wing, Ms Shalini Tandon, felicitated the students for their amazing contribution and sincere efforts. French Week not only deepened linguistic skills but also fostered a profound respect for global diversity and cultural understanding among students, affirming its role in shaping informed, empathetic global citizens.
