EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO G D GOENKA UNIVERSITY

The students of classes XI and XII visited the G D Goenka University, Sohna to give them exposure to the various choices of disciplines available to them at the college level . This trip was organized to expose students to various fields of study and provide them with a hands-on learning experience through a series of workshops. The students participated in workshops related to Management, Design, Aerospace Engineering, Hospitality, and Law.
At arrival, the students were welcomed by the university staff and given a comprehensive orientation about the campus, its facilities, and the scheduled activities. The orientation session also included a brief introduction to the various fields of study and the importance of interdisciplinary learning. Students had selected and attended the workshop of their choice and learned details of those fields with hands-on activities.
The students divided into groups were given a layout of a particular product design, given the stationery to create in a stipulated time, keeping in mind the aesthetics of their packaging. The students took a good amount of interest and brainstorming to come up to the expectations of Mr. Vikas and eventually at the end of the 2 hour workshop , managed to come up with interesting creations.
Students explored the field of aerospace engineering. They were introduced to the fundamentals of aerodynamics, propulsion, and aircraft design. The workshop included practical sessions where students built and tested model airplanes. They also had the opportunity to interact with faculty members and industry professionals who shared their experiences and insights into the aerospace industry.
The hospitality workshop provided students with a glimpse into the dynamic world of hospitality management. They learned about various aspects of the industry, including hotel operations, event management, and customer service. Students participated in activities such as setting up a mock restaurant, planning an event, and handling guest interactions. The workshop emphasized the importance of attention to detail, customer satisfaction, and multitasking in the hospitality sector.
Students were introduced to the basics of legal studies, including the structure of the legal system, fundamental rights, and legal procedures. They participated in a mock trial in the moot court set-up, where they took on the roles of lawyers, judges, and witnesses. This interactive session helped students understand the complexities of the legal profession and the importance of critical thinking and public speaking skills.
The workshop on management began with an introduction to the basics of management, budgeting and strategic planning. Students engaged in group activities that simulated real-world business scenarios.
The G D Goenka University trip was an enriching experience for all the students involved. It provided them with valuable insights into various fields of study and helped them develop essential skills through hands-on activities and interactive sessions. The trip not only broadened their academic horizons but also inspired them to pursue their interests with passion and dedication. The students returned with a deeper understanding of their potential career paths and a renewed enthusiasm for their future studies.
