(OCTOBER 29, 2024)
The Junior Wing of G.D. Goenka Public School Sector 48, Gurugram, celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm and creativity, spreading festive joy and important messages. The students of classes II A and I B presented a lively assembly in the school auditorium, highlighting the significance of the festival. A skit depicting Lord Rama’s exile and his return to Ayodhya was accompanied by soulful bhajans, poems, and colorful dance performances. The children, dressed in traditional attire, captivated the audience with their vibrant energy, while the beautifully decorated stage, adorned with diyas and flowers, added to the festive ambiance. The assembly concluded with students emphasizing the need for eco-friendly celebrations and responsible festivities.
Principal Mrs. Anuradha Handa addressed the children with warmth, actively engaging them in a conversation about celebrating a clean and safe Diwali. She urged the students to adopt sustainable practices, avoid firecrackers, and uphold the spirit of being true Goenkans by fostering kindness and responsibility. Her encouraging words resonated with the young learners, inspiring them to make thoughtful choices during the celebrations.
