COMPARATIVE GAP ANALYSIS – ACER IBT

An extensive professional training workshop was conducted on May 20, 2024 by ACER; Australian Council for Educational Research for the Math and English Department of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram. The workshop gave an overview on the working of the ACER IBT. The purpose of the workshop was to acquaint the Teachers with the systematic way of generating the report of the students and analyzing them. The session was conducted by the ACER Team members – Ms. Zulekha Lakhani and Ms. Megha Bajaj.
The International Benchmark Tests (IBT) is an internationally administered programme of competency-based assessments designed to track student performance against international standards. The tests cover English and Mathematics for students in grades 3-10. The workshop acquainted the teachers with the working of the IBT platform. They proceeded by analyzing students' performance based on the last assessment, both by grade and subject. The areas and parameters that need improvement were identified and were thoroughly deliberated upon. The queries of the teachers were also handled by the resource people.
Overall, the Session proved to be highly enriching and informative paving the way for constructive development in teaching methodologies and student learning outcomes.
