BLESSING CEREMONY; CLASSES X AND XII
(FEBRUARY 12 & 13, 2024)
Grade XII & X students participated in a significant event known as the Blessings Ceremony held on February 12 & 13, 2024 . This ritual holds great importance as it precedes challenging endeavors, symbolizing our collective well-wishes and support for the students as they prepare for their board examinations.
For Class XII students, Central to the ceremony was the 'Havan,' a sacred fire lit as a symbol of purity and spirituality. It is believed that 'havans' have the power to dispel negativity, cleanse the environment, and invoke divine blessings. The purpose of the Blessings Ceremony at GDGPS was to ensure that the students face their upcoming examinations with confidence and mental clarity, fortified by the blessings of the Almighty. The school aims to imbue the students with a sense of inner strength and assurance, believing that a positive mindset and spiritual grounding are key to success in any endeavor.
For Class X, the ceremony was conducted in a different manner where each student seeked blessing from Lord Ganesha followed by blessing from respected Principal and Headmistresses of the school. Through this ceremony, GDGPS sought to create a supportive and empowering environment for the students, encouraging them to approach their exams with a sense of purpose and determination.
